I do not normally make resolutions. I usually just ask God to do His will and commit to Him. But this year I made a resolution. Yep. My resolution is to finally remove my wisdom teeth. All 4 of them. In January, the latest February.
*Sheds Single tear*
I believe that I am being a bit melodramatic. I have had a root canal procedure before and it was just fine. I have to blame YouTube. Only on YouTube you would be able to watch numerous variations of wisdom teeth extractions. It is definitely not the prettiest sight.(Yep I watched them all, even the “lovely” intact tooth procedures)
On the contrary I am super excited to get them removed. I do not like the massive headaches and definitely not the weird jaw popping, which can potentially lead to lock-jaw. Thank you Jesus Christ for finalizing my insurance mumbo jumbo. I am utterly grateful!
The Comparison
While watching the YouTube Wisdom tooth extraction videos I decided that I prefer to undergo Child birth, naturally. (Melodramatic)
What are Brothers for?
To make fun of me. My brother proposed that he would do the extraction for me. He instructed me to find some string, a knife and a door. You get the picture.lol.
Have any of you lovely bloggers gotten your wisdom teeth(1,2,3,4) extracted? How fun was that? What about the Anesthesia? And how did you enjoy your lovely apple sauce and pudding diet?

Scripture Time
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

I had mine out in my late twenties and it was pretty good. It was when I found out I was allergic to the codeine in the Tylenol 3 the dentist gave me to take home. So I didn’t take anything and it was fine. A few years later I said no to any drugs during childbirth and after for fear of allergies… 2 Timothy 1:7 is one of my all time favorite verses, and I say it to myself when facing fear or dentists!

Never had my teeth out, but I did have a baby without drugs… not fun. But I learned there really is no reason to be scared of that kind of stuff. You already know who gives you strength. That’s the whole battle.
You’re absolutely right. No reason to be fearful! My father is King.
Have a blessed week
I had one of mine out last year and was sedated for it – it was such an amazing/fun experience (strangely), Youre very brave to watch videos of those proceedures though, I would rather not know what it looked like in there. You will be fine though, think positive – I get/got migraines too so focus on the silver linings and long term benefits of having them out
I am looking forward to this fun experience you speak of!lol
Silver lining, here I come!
I’m terrified of the dentist. Don’t ask how long its been since I last went. I’ve have never had cavities and I brush and floss daily. Yet I have the most excruciating sensitivity in my teeth but I’m afraid if I go to the dentist he or she will tell me that I have broken my long standing record of having no cavities and that they will have to pull put all the sensitive teeth out of my mouth…….{{shivers}}
My prayers are with you, sister.
Oh, praise God, my dentist told me once long ago that my wisdom teeth did not look to be a problem and that I may not have to worry about having them pulled at all. So far, so good! Sorry, I have no words of wisdom to give you…
This made me smile. Not the sensitivity part, but your entire comment. For a moment I felt like my brother was speaking to me. He was the cavity free, candy loving child. I was the brush, floss, candy hater who got a cavity
lol
Now he is struggling with sensitivity also and opted out from visiting the dentist. He claims that he rather chew on one side of his mouth for the rest of his life. You guys are super cute.
Thank you for the prayers and smile
